Join the St. Patrick’s Day Festival this Saturday, March 15, at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for not only the “world’s shortest parade,” but family fun, free chili dogs and a chance for children to ride on the float with St. Patrick. 

On March 4, the Pagosa Springs Town Council decided that it will forgo a traditional motorized Fourth of July parade for this year’s celebrations, mainly due to the Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT’s) U.S. 160 reconstruction project happening this summer. 

Fire chief offers update on hydrant issue

Pagosa Fire Protection District (PFPD) Chief Robert Bertram offered an update on the ongoing fire hydrant issue at the district’s board meeting Tuesday evening, indicating personnel could be out flowing hydrants this spring.

Archuleta County Department of Human Services (DHS) Director Heidi Martinez gave a 2024 fourth-quarter report at a recent meeting held by the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC), providing an update on potential upcoming challenges for child care support in Archuleta County.
