Eleven Pirates advance to state meet

Eleven Pirates will represent Pagosa Springs High School at this week’s state track and field meet, with coach Connie O’Donnell noting she anticipates most of the team’s qualifiers returning with medals “if all goes well.”

The Pagosa Springs High School Lady Pirate soccer team wrapped up its season this last week after being eliminated from the state playoffs in the first round. 

Pirates draw season to a close

The Pagosa Springs High School baseball team finished the regular season this week with a 9-9 record, ranked as the No. 32 team in Colorado 3A baseball.

The Pagosa Springs High School Lady Pirate soccer team will take on the state’s top 3A team today, Thursday, May 8, in the opening round of the state playoffs.

Terry Alley Invitational

The Pagosa Springs High School Pirate track and field team hosted the eight-team Terry Alley Invitational on Saturday, May 3, with the team logging a number of personal records (PRs) and some breaking their own school records.

“Right now, it’s a waiting game,” Pagosa Springs High School Pirate baseball coach Ben Garcia said.

Ten members of the Pagosa Springs High School track and field team earned Intermountain League honors with their performances at Saturday’s Pine River Invitational in Bayfield.

Pirates look to control destiny as postseason approaches

The Pagosa Springs High School Pirate baseball team moved to an 8-8 record on the season after going 1-2 over the last week, making the Pirates the No. 29 team in Colorado 3A baseball heading into the final two weeks of the season.

The Pagosa Springs High School Lady Pirate soccer team will draw the regular season to a close over the next week with the hope the season will continue into the playoffs.

Lady Pirates earn first league win of season
