Build Pagosa’s Sledz on Rez event will be back during WinterFest, with all its boisterous fun, crazy antics and delicious food.
The event will return to Reservoir Hill on Jan. 20, 2024, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. with fun and prizes for the whole family.
Community members are invited to build or modify sleds using cardboard, plastic sleds, inflatables, duct tape and other decorations.
Prize categories for sleds include Best Team, Most Creative, Best in Show and many more.
The more creative and unique your sled is, the better, so get started on building early. Sleds cannot have sharp edges, nails, screws or any metal parts. Sleds will be inspected before the race and if determined to be unsafe, the sled may be disqualified. Helmets are required.
As always, the crowd can help decide the winners, so bring along your friends and family to cheer you on as you ride Reservoir Hill. We will be serving delicious pork green chili and hot drinks to the crowd as participants of all ages showcase their sleds.

Our Sledz on Rez event benefits the Pagosa Springs High School SkillsUSA students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, and who participate in national SkillsUSA competitions.
