Dear Editor:
Don’t even know how to label this letter but here goes. For the last 3 years my wife has made numerous complaints against the neighbor for excessive noise and when I say noise I mean that constant boom boom music that goes on for hours upon hours until you feel like screaming. So you call dispatch and they send a officer who informs you they can’t do anything and we need to inform the PLPOA who in turn says it is a police matter. In addition for some strange reason after complaining you notice someone for some sick reason has started launching projectiles at your windows which so far has causes over $700 in damage. So you call the sheriff again, they respond and same result as the noise complaint occurs. It does not take a rocket scientist to determine just where the projectiles are coming from but I guess an investigation is a little too much to ask for. Don’t get me wrong I support our law enforcement but it seems their hands are tied when trying to resolve this. It seems that if you don’t see the individual actually shoot the projectiles nothing can or will be done. I wonder if someone was shooting bullets at the house if the results would be the same or would this finally be enough to launch an investigation. Believe me when I say this these projectiles being used could cause sever damage to a person and I for one would rather not wait for it to happen. This scumbag seems to love messing with peoples minds but to go after a 77 year old woman shows just how much of a coward they are. As far as the noise complaints go we just quit calling because there is no sense wasting the sheriffs time.There are noise ordinance laws both in the county and the PLPOA allowing people to live a peaceful life but they are just words on paper and nothing more. We are looking at alternative legal actions to take but until then we will just pray and hope for the best.
