Some nights are meant to be remembered.
Some nights are meant to change a life.
And some nights do both.
The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs invites you to join us for our 31st annual Auction for the Animals: Rescue Rendezvous: Where the Mountains Meet Our Mission. This will be an unforgettable evening celebrating the animals and the community that makes second chances possible.
This is more than a night out; it is a night that directly changes lives.
Guests will enjoy an elevated Western-inspired gala filled with incredible food, beautiful art, exciting live and silent auctions, live entertainment, an adorable pet talent show, heartwarming stories, and plenty of opportunities to make a lifesaving difference for animals in our community.
Last year alone, 275 pets found loving homes. And each one of those happy endings began with a community that cared enough to help.
This year, you can help write the next chapter.
But the real excitement? The auctions. There is something for everyone, from unforgettable mountain adventures and luxurious getaways to artwork, gift baskets, home treasures and unique experiences.
Golfers won’t want to miss Golf the Mountains, featuring golf at an area club and resort and an exclusive private round at a Durango club.
Dreaming of a luxurious mountain getaway? Luxury in the San Juans – Pagosa Style, valued at more than $1,500, includes an overnight stay at an estate with dinner for two, a $500 gift card to a hot springs resort, a half-day guided fly-fishing trip and two bottles of wine.
For those who could use a little rest and relaxation, the Mountain Wellness Retreat brings together pilates, a $500 gift card to a hot springs resort, dinner and a $100 gift certificate to a local store.
Or, take your Pagosa adventure to new heights with Sky High Over Pagosa, featuring a hot-air balloon ride for two over the spectacular San Juan Mountains followed by dinner.
But the best thing you’ll take home isn’t something you can bid on. It’s the feeling of knowing you helped save a life.
The Auction for the Animals is the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs’ largest fundraiser of the year. The generosity raised during this special evening provides the resources animals need while they wait for their forever families. Your attendance provides safe shelter, nutritious food, medical treatment, emergency veterinary care, enrichment, rehabilitation and, ultimately, a path home.
Throughout the evening, guests will hear stories of animals who arrived needing a second chance and left with something every animal deserves — a loving home.
So, come raise a glass, raise your paddle and raise a little friendly competition at the auction.
And leave knowing that, together, we gave a second chance to an animal who desperately needed one.

The dress code is elevated Western attire. Think cocktail party meets the Wild West: Dresses, blazers, denim, cowboy boots, cowboy hats. Western elegance is encouraged, but not required. All are welcome.
