The Archuleta Health Fair and Expo is an important annual community event that promotes health and wellness while connecting community members with essential preventive health care.
We are so grateful for the 50+ local, regional and statewide organizations that have come together to support this year’s Health Fair. These organizations offer health screenings and lab draws, provide informational booths, support education tables, and sponsor the event to bring these resources to our community.
Be sure to stop by the event to support your individual and the community’s health and wellness. To see a full list of services and exhibitors, visit Healthy Archuleta’s website at https://www.foodcoalition4archuleta.org/archuleta-health-fair-and-expo.html.
This year we are serving breakfast. Prepared by some of Pagosa’s local food industry favorites, the meal will feature locally grown and sourced ingredients and will be available from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
The keynote presentation, “Caring For Your Brain Across the Lifespan,” by Dr. Arturo Montaño, MD, a board-certified neurologist at Pagosa Springs Medical Center, will take place in the auditorium from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. You won’t want to miss this timely topic, which will explore practical strategies for keeping the brain healthy as we age, along with risk factors, prevention, and treatment options for common neurological conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke and nerve damage.
You can still register online today, Thursday, Oct. 22, until noon, or simply show up on Saturday to participate in this year’s Archuleta Health Fair and Expo.
