The Town of Pagosa Springs is notifying residents that sewage is being discharged into the San Juan River near the 1st Street bridge amid the ongoing flood emergency.
Please avoid all contact with river water, including downstream areas.
Stay out of the river and floodwaters.
Keep children and pets away from the water.
Avoid fishing, swimming, wading, and other river activities.
Residents should continue following all mandatory evacuation orders and emergency instructions.
