On Saturday evening, Oct. 17, the Friends of the Library Committee hosted an open house event.
Friends of the Library members were invited to bring a friend to tour the newly renovated facilities, enjoy a food spread and enter a free drawing for a chance to win various book-themed prizes.
A newly published anthology, created by Kathy Muth, was featured, with several Pagosans reading from their writings; two lucky guests received a copy from the drawing.
The open house had more than 50 attendees, and the Friends of the Library welcomed 18 new members, raising more than $1,000.
An annual membership is $15 for an individual, $25 for a family or $150 for a lifetime membership.
Membership includes access to exclusive Friends of the Library events, such as the open house, as well as early access and discounts on book sales throughout the year.
To become a member, please stop by the library Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or visit www.pagosalibrary.org to complete the form.
