Say NO Please.!!
I remember one of Pagosa’s Old Timer Milo Smith (R.I.P.) saying yrs ago.. “ Robin, I remember when there was only One swinging light in Downtown Pagosa Springs...”
Maybe there’s a couple Old Timers left that remember that also but that’s not the case these days as we all know ! A lot of us understand and are okay with growth.. there are serious Life & Death Concerns!
( My opinion is valid I believe) Like..
1. Putting a light at Put Hills steep grade w/winter conditions. Scary!
2. Big Developments = more vehicles & traffic = Evacuation Concerns onto Hwy 160 could be a disaster for Many of Us that live North with our BIG Fire Concerns from Long, Hot & Dry’r Summers,
Again..I really take this Seriously !
3. Lack of water during the years of droughts already restricted so another Big Concern!! (no crystal ball to read our future unfortunately)
4. Noise & Light Pollution For many that live close by & drive by.. it’ll take a long time for the infrastructure & to complete that huge development the noise.. well there goes the neighborhood & visually I think it’s going to stick out like a sore thumb!
Last . Those that will use the back road to get to Walmart will destroy that road & I understand they will not be responsible for maintaining it... Again, There goes the neighborhood!
( I know from first-hand watching the traffic come the back road to Cemetery Road to avoid putt Hill traffic huge difference on our roads and for our neighbors)
So those that can Vote ..vote No Plz, Enough is Enough! ALOT of Us are not going anywhere... We will Not Sell, We Love Our Town be it the
Old Timers, Newbies & the future generations,,
I’m begging you please say No & Keep it Safe & Affordable for many of Us that consider Pagosa Springs 2-B Our Heaven Here on Earth ! Thank you, Robin
