A group of six Pagosa Springs High School students made a presentation concerning fire risk to the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners and community members Thursday that may lead to changes in Pagosa Country in the near future.
The students, juniors and seniors taking J.D. Kurz’s Global Science class, spent much of the fall semester gathering data and applying it to the real situation of fire risk in Archuleta County in order to not only present a problem, and solutions, through applied learning techniques.
