Four Corners Safari Club International (SCI) is proud to announce that local member Lea Lindsay has been named the recipient of the prestigious SCI 2025 Young Hunter of the Year Award.

Lindsay received this honor recently during the SCI Annual Convention in Nashville, Tenn., where her dedication to conservation, education and outdoor traditions was celebrated on a national stage.

The SCI Young Hunter of the Year Award is presented annually to young sportsmen and women aged 15-25 who exemplify leadership, initiative and a commitment to passing on the tradition of ethical hunting and conservation. Her tireless efforts in encouraging young adults to embrace the outdoors and her advocacy for responsible hunting practices made her a standout ambassador for these values.

A proud member of the Four Corners community and the state of Colorado, Lindsay has actively worked to inspire others to experience the joys and responsibilities of the hunting tradition. Through her involvement in local conservation projects and her dedication to mentoring fellow young hunters, Lindsay has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to preserving hunting and conservation for future generations.

“It’s such an honor to represent our small community and the great state of Colorado,” Lindsay shared. “I’m incredibly grateful for the support from Four Corners SCI and the hunting community. My hope is that this recognition will inspire others to chase their dreams and play an active role in conservation.”

Four Corners SCI President Jason Deweese congratulated Lindsay on her achievement, stating, “Lea is a shining example of the positive impact of young hunters in shaping the future of conservation and education. Her leadership and dedication are a source of pride for our organization, and we look forward to seeing all that she will accomplish in the years to come.”

Lindsay’s recognition as the SCI 2025 Young Hunter of the Year highlights the incredible potential within the next generation of sportsmen and women. As she continues to advocate for conservation and encourage outdoor engagement, Lindsay inspires not only young hunters, but also all who value hunting, fishing, trapping and the outdoors.
