For the first time, Archuleta County has a Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan in place.
The Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan not only provides a plan in cases of emergencies such as flood and wildfire, but opens the door for funding to complete mitigation projects, as well as making individuals and businesses in the county eligible for additional federal assistance when a disaster occurs.
