Affordable housing proposed for school property

At its April 12 work session, the Archuleta School District (ASD)Board of Education heard a proposal from two local independent contractors hoping to build affordable housing units on school district land.

“The idea came about,” said contractor Steve Graham, when the Sullenberger house and accompanying 3-acre plot came up for sale. Graham and his business partner Jack Bridges discovered the parcel was adjacent to ASD-owned property.
