Sales tax revenues up through each month of first quarter

County, town first in Colorado to meet new housing requirements

Archuleta County and The Town of Pagosa Springs have become the first in the state of Colorado to have their regional housing needs assessment (HNA) officially accepted by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) for full compliance with Senate Bill 24-174, also known as the Sustainable Affordable Housing Assistance bill. 

During a report to the Pagosa Springs Sanitation General Improvement District (PSSGID) board on May 6, Public Works Director Karl Johnson explained that a lightning strike caused a power surge, resulting in approximately $35,000 of damage to electrical equipment at Lift Station 2. 

The Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) voted 2-1 to keep the county’s business recovery fund program in-house during its regular meeting held on Tuesday, May 6.
