Special to The PREVIEW
The annual World Tai Chi and Qigong Day is April 27, starting at 10 a.m. in New Zealand and spreading around the world, time zone by time zone.
You are invited to participate in this worldwide event at 10 a.m. local time in Town Park. There will be Qigong exercises for you to try, along with demonstrations of Tai Chi by local practitioners.
Tai Chi and Qigong are exercises that promote health by practicing correct ways of breathing, regulating the body’s equilibrium, building inner strength, reducing stress, promoting normal functions of the organs and aiding blood circulation. These exercises are safe for almost everyone, regardless of the state of their health.
Tai Chi and Qigong are fun ways to practice breathing, balance and strength in a class with friends and neighbors.
Come to Town Park on Saturday, April 27, at 10 a.m. and join the world in celebrating this peaceful exercise form. No experience is necessary for you to enjoy yourself and learn an ancient exercise program. You can also check out World Tai Chi and Qigong Day at the official website at www.worldtaichiday.org.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes and be prepared for Colorado’s unpredictable weather.
