Special to The PREVIEW

Every book in the Ruby Sisson Library has the voice of a courageous author. Five years ago, the Wolf Creek Christian Writers Network (WCCWN) began by courageous writers who wanted to learn how to better share the stories in their hearts.

They have studied writing techniques and grammar, invited designers and publishers to speak, and learned to kindly critique one another’s creations. Their journey has taken them into deep editing and rewriting valleys, and up to high joyous publishing peaks.

The Ruby Sisson Library will host a Life Learning evening on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 6:45 p.m. A panel of authors will discuss the journey they have taken to write and publish their first book, “Looking At Life.”

The authors of WCCWN will cover processes of editing and self-publishing and the beginning steps of marketing. There will be questions and answers covering four different genres: fiction, nonfiction and creative nonfiction, poetry and fantasy. Please join them for light refreshments at 5 p.m. and bring your questions for the panel.

The Wolf Creek Christian Writers Network is a nondenominational writer’s group dedicated to improving our craft and sharing God’s love with the world. We invite you to join the weekly meetings on Mondays from 9 to 11:15 a.m. at CrossRoad Christian Fellowship at 1044 Park Ave. Call Richard Gammill at 731-2040 for more details.
