Each year, Seeds of Learning asks our community to help support the early education of at risk/low income preschool children of Pagosa Springs by throwing a big party.
The planning for Little Black Dress Affair “All That Glitters” is in full swing, thanks to the dedication of a wonderful group of volunteers.
Lynne Bridges and Dee McPeek have been coordinating this event for six years and are always amazed at the women that take eight months out of their busy lives to make it happen.
This year, they are thrilled to reunite with Ann Bubb, Mary Jo Coulehan, Stacy Kirby, Lynne McCrudden and Mary McKeehan, who have been committee members for several years. Adding fresh insight and a ton of new energy are Sandy Artzberger, Andra Byrnes, Angie Dahm, Shari Gustafson, Deb Jennings, Candice Kelly, Stephanie King, Aubrie Limebrook, Jen Meerdink, Betty Switzer, Sharon Tesman, Phyllis Wheaton and Treva Wheeless. They have been so busy we couldn’t even corral all of them for a photo!
These ladies have spent countless hours planning decorations and food, gathering unique auction items, researching gifts for the guests, coordinating the army of event volunteers, and brainstorming creative ideas to entertain the ladies of Pagosa.
You won’t want to miss the fruits of their labors. Join us at 5 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Ross Aragon Community Center for a dressy, feminine evening of fun. You’ll enjoy beautiful decor, delectables from Alley House Grille, silent and “chair-ity” auctions, a show, a cash bar and some surprises.
Tickets are $40 or gather eight friends and reserve a table for $360. Tickets are available at Seeds of Learning and the reserved tables are going fast.
This event sells out every year, so get your tickets early to be sure you aren’t disappointed. Let’s party, ladies!
