Tend to last-minute election details today, tomorrow

Registered voters in Archuleta County are reminded that ballots cast in the Nov. 5 election must arrive at the Elections Office by 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5.

There were 8,100 ballots sent to voters as part of the mail ballot process (with 2,700 returned as of this morning).

Registered voters who did not receive a ballot in the mail can obtain one at the Elections Office at the Archuleta County Courthouse 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today, Monday, Nov. 4, and from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 5. The voter can fill out the ballot and cast it at the office.

Voters who received a ballot in the mail, but have not mailed it back, can take the ballot to the Elections Office today or tomorrow.

All ballots must be to the elections office by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 to be counted. Post marks do not count.

Replacement ballots can be obtained at the Elections Office today and on Election Day, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

If you are not registered to vote and wish to vote in the Nov. 5 election, you can register at the Elections Office today, until 4 p.m. and tomorrow, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. You must present acceptable ID in order to register.
