The first day of summer may be June 21, but it sure feels like summer is in the air in Pagosa Springs.
Music lovers have begun arriving in town for the 10th annual Pagosa Folk ‘N Bluegrass festival, taking place Friday through Sunday on Reservoir Hill.
Nearly 200 vehicles will be lined up and ready to enter the festival campground when it opens up on Friday morning.
Festival Executive Director Crista Munro has scheduled a stellar lineup of 14 of the nation’s finest folk, bluegrass, Celtic and Americana performers including Noam Pikelny & Stuart Duncan, Solas, Red Molly, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, Mandolin Orange, Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys, Front Country, Trout Steak Revival, Songs of the Fall, Finnders & Youngberg, Monocle Band, Slocan Ramblers, Tim & Myles Thompson, and Rebecca Frazier and Hit & Run.
According to Munro, Pagosa’s legendary “outdoor music festival is famous for its scenic on-site camping and ubiquitous pickin’ circles, plus music workshops and a selection of microbrew beer, food and crafts vendors.”
