Student service project: Turkey Springs trail re-route

Approximately 100 Pagosa Springs Middle School eighth-graders and staff joined forces with the Pagosa Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest and other organizations to re-route a popular mountain bike trail from a marshy area to just inside the trees that skirted a long meadow last Thursday.
