Seeds of Learning is excited to announce a new partnership with Head Start that will help make high-quality early childhood education more accessible to families in our community.
At Seeds of Learning, we have always believed that every child deserves access to a safe, loving, high-quality early learning environment, regardless of their family’s income. This new partnership with Head Start is another way we can help make that possible.
We know how difficult it can be for families to find high-quality child care that they can also afford. Our goal has always been to find ways to remove those barriers and help families access the care and education their children deserve. Partnering with Head Start gives us another opportunity to do just that.
Seeds of Learning currently works with families through several programs and funding sources, including Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program, the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program, scholarships and tuition assistance. Adding Head Start as a partner gives eligible families another avenue for receiving support with the cost of early childhood education.
Seeds of Learning is a nationally accredited early childhood education program and holds a Colorado Shines Level 5 rating. While we are very proud of those accomplishments, what matters most to us is what they mean for our children and families. Our teachers work every day to help children grow socially, emotionally, physically and academically while creating an environment where children feel safe, loved and excited to learn.
This partnership is also about supporting the whole family. When parents know their child is in a safe and nurturing environment, they are better able to work, attend school and provide for their families. Early childhood education is about so much more than preparing children for kindergarten. When we support a child, we are also supporting their family, and when we support families, we strengthen our entire community.
Seeds of Learning and Head Start share a commitment to ensuring that a family’s financial situation does not prevent a child from receiving high-quality early education. We are excited to work together and see the opportunities this partnership can provide for local children and families.
Families who believe they may qualify for Head Start funding are encouraged to reach out. Even if you are unsure whether your family meets the eligibility requirements, we encourage you to contact Seeds of Learning or Head Start to learn more about the program and determine whether your family may qualify.
We don’t want families to assume they won’t qualify and miss out on an opportunity that could help them. Reach out, ask questions and let us help you find out what resources may be available for your family.
Seeds of Learning is excited for this next chapter and grateful for the opportunity to continue working with community partners to make high-quality early childhood education accessible to more children in Archuleta County.
