If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949 you are required to have a hunter safety card before you can purchase a hunting license.
A hunter safety course will be offered Aug. 29-30 in Pagosa Springs.
The course will run from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30. Students must attend each session.
Sessions will be held at the San Juan Mounted Patrol Building, 302 San Juan St. in Pagosa Springs
Cost is $10 per student.
This course is sponsored by the Pagosa Springs Police Department in conjunction with the Colorado Parks and Wildlife with support from the local chapter of the Friends of the NRA.
