There will be a unique opportunity that only a small town can offer at the ACRW annual Patriot’s Day Celebration Saturday, June 22.
What opportunity?
The chance to directly speak with, and express your political concerns to, some important state and local politicians. Yes, your individual voice can be heard and, hopefully, make an impact.
Speakers lined up for the day include U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton, Colo. Sen. Ellen Roberts, Ryan Call (chair Colorado GOP), J. Paul Brown and a number of local candidates who will be announcing their candidacy for office.
Patriot’s Day will be held at the Pagosa Youth Center (large building across from Town Park). It will take place from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and we will be offering a barbecue lunch for $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Ticket proceeds help raise money for our Republican candidates for the midterm elections coming in 2014.
Admission is free to hear and talk with the speakers.
For lunch tickets, contact Marilyn Harris, 731-6336, or Jim Huffman, 731-9257.
This event is sponsored by the Archuleta County Republican Women and the Republican Central Committee. All are welcome.
