Brenda Tooker, 65, of Pagosa Springs, passed away on Feb. 21, surrounded by her loving family at the Mayo Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix after a long illness with cancer. She was survived by her husband Kenneth Tooker, married for 43 years; mother Velma Wood; daughter Leigh Ann Moore of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter Alessandra Azar; great grandsons Noah Gonzalez, Bennett Azar-Marr’s; great grand daughter Alexa Gonzalez; sister Beverly Hollis; nieces Michelle Tascha, Stephanie Lancaster, Stacey Hollis, Ashley Hollis of Tulsa, Okla. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Elva Nickols and sister Betty Wood.
Brenda had a great sense of humor and a stunning smile. She loved the mountains of Colorado, Mother Nature and had a deep love for all animals. She enjoyed her camping, four-wheeling trips into the mountains, traveling the country in their motor home from Alaska to Key West, from California to Washington, D.C. and traveling the oceans on several cruise ships.
