The gathering will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, starting at 3 p.m. at the PLPOA Vista Clubhouse, located at 230 Port Ave. The doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
This year’s them is “Legends, Lies and Legacies” and will feature Vic Anderson, a Montana-born singing cowboy now living in Estes Park.
Anderson was named Western Music Association (WMA) yodeling champion two times. He is also a recognized, professional whistler who has worked with great western entertainers like Patsy Montana and Baxter Black.
Our special guest will be the very talented singer/songwriter Evelyn Roper, from Gunnison. Roper, who has been described as a “jalapeno and honey,” has been a driving force in Americana music in western Colorado for decades.
The special youth guest is 10-year-old Julian “Westy” Oliver, a Colorado native who writes and performs original western poetry and plays a great Texas fiddle.
