Hospital faces staffing shortage

The Upper San Juan Health Service District (USJHSD) discussed staffing shortages, funding needs and facilitated board member transitions during its regular meeting Tuesday night.

Staffing shortages

CEO Brad Cochennet informed the board that the district is experiencing a staffing shortage and current recruitment efforts involve “trying to build ... three areas: hospitalist, clinic positions and ER.”
