Special to The PREVIEW
GriefShare meetings are scheduled at the Community United Methodist Church beginning April 2 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The meetings will be held in the fellowship hall. All sessions are free and are open to the public. Free child care will be provided at the church.
GriefShare is a national, nondenominational program. Their website is www.griefshare.org.
The purpose of the sessions is to help people who have experienced the loss of any family member (child, parent, spouse, sibling) or of a special friend.
Thirteen weekly meetings are scheduled for Saturday mornings over three consecutive months. Each session is self-contained, so a person does not have to attend in sequence. A person may attend one, several or all of the meetings.
Topics will vary, so there is no progression of subjects. A one-time donation ($10 or $15) is suggested to cover some costs, but scholarship funds are available.
Interested persons can call the church office at 264-5508 for further information. The church is located at 434 Lewis St. The Rev. Claus Rohlfs is pastor.
