The Pagosa Ranger District will celebrate International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD) on Saturday, May 9, by offering a morning bird hike and afternoon activities. This is a free event open to all ages and families.
IMBD is an annual event to celebrate and support migratory bird conservation. The theme for IMBD 2015 is “Restore Habitat, Restore Birds,” and focuses on the importance of preserving existing habitat, the threats to habitats, the elements of habitat on which birds depend and how restoration of habitats benefits birds.
