First grader donates to Empty Bowls project

Pagosa Springs Elementary School first grader Isabel Galloway donated a total of $72.19 to the Empty Bowls project this past Saturday.

The Empty Bowls event hosted every year is meant to raise community awareness about issues of hunger. Money raised at the event from the purchase of bowls is donated to local food pantries including those run by the Methodist and Catholic churches.
