From Palisade peaches to Olathe sweet corn, it is easy to find delicious, high-quality food produced in Colorado. Did you know that these products provide more than just delicious food?
The Colorado agriculture industry is responsible for 170,000 jobs and more than $40 billion to the state’s economy. When Coloradans buy local food and produce, they can feel good knowing that they are supporting hardworking farmers, ranchers and producers throughout the state.
“Whether it’s because of the quality or the environmental impact, buying fresh, local food is a top priority for many Coloradans today,” said Mike Surles, local egg farmer and Colorado Egg Produers member. “When you buy food grown in Colorado, you can be sure of the care and quality that went into making it. Eggs are a great example. From producing the freshest eggs to giving back to our community, the Colorado Egg Producers are proud to serve Colorado.”
