Special to The PREVIEW
It’s time to put away your cell phone, turn off your television and have some good, old-fashioned fun at the Archuleta County Fair.
Experience how life used to be, when visiting with family and friends involved playing horseshoes, enjoying homemade ice-cream, sharing homemade baked goods and watching or riding in the rodeo. All of this and much more is happening this weekend at the county fair.
From today through Sunday at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds, a variety of competitions and activities will take place.
4-H youth will compete for ribbons and belt buckles as they parade their prized livestock, which they have been raising and grooming for just this event.
Residents from throughout the county will be bringing in their prized makings to compete with others for a fair blue ribbon.
