Special to The PREVIEW
Beverly “Bev” Arrendell will be talking about dealing with grief at The Homemakers’ meeting today, May 10.
Arrendell is an experienced grief counselor who has been the facilitator for five different grief support group sessions here in Pagosa Springs. She is a retired teacher with experience in both public schools and at the college level.
This is such a timely topic for us all since, as we age, many of us are losing more family and friends, as well as caring for those who are battling a serious health condition. And, processing grief can be so different for each of us.
All area women are invited to join the Homemakers at 11:30 a.m. today, Thursday, May 10, at the Community United Methodist Church on Lewis Street. We socialize before we enjoy a potluck lunch provided by members. First-time visitors are not expected to bring food.
Arrendell’s talk will begin after lunch.
Mountain View Homemakers is a 50-year-old monthly gathering of women who are interested in making their lives, the lives of their families and our community more enjoyable and more informed. The meetings include lunch and a speaker or activity. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends in the community.
We meet on the second Thursday of every month. There are no dues or membership requirements and every interested woman is welcome. Homemaking skills are not required. Call Tozi at 731-3360 with questions.
