Despite snowfall amounts and road conditions that closed Archuleta County offices, the majority of Archuleta County’s elected officials who were elected or re-elected in the November election took their oaths to officially begin their new terms in office Tuesday.
Five of the seven officials took the oath Tuesday morning, with two others taking the oath at other times.
“This is a good day for democracy,” 6th Judicial District Court Judge Gregory Lyman said in beginning the ceremony.
