County planning commission seeks public input on noncommercial marijuana cultivation

The Archuleta County Planning Commission is looking for public input on the noncommercial cultivation of marijuana.

With new state legislation passed last year, Colorado counties have begun adopting zoning regulations to provide local ground rules on growing marijuana for non-licensed personal or medical caregiver use. Typical requirements limit the number of plants, provide for use of greenhouses or sheds and set other ways to reduce impacts on residential neighborhoods.
