Title II Project Proposals being accepted under Secure Rural Schools Act

Proposals are being accepted for natural resource projects that benefit the lands and resources of the San Juan National Forest and rural economies of those local counties which have opted to receive Title II funds through the newly reauthorized Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act.

The legislation is designed to fund projects that restore watersheds, decommission or maintain roads, remove noxious weeds, thin vegetation or otherwise improve the condition of the national forest.
