Susan Dee Fisher, “Susie,” entered Heaven’s gates March 29, surrounded by family in her home.
Susie was a Colorado native, born in Denver March 14, 1949. Daughter to Terrell and Helen Butler, she was the youngest of three girls.
Susie was a faithful follower of Jesus deep rooted in her faith and a fierce prayer warrior. She was enthusiastic about sharing her love for Jesus with those around her and in the children’s programs at her church. From an early age, Susie had a deep love for children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt. She always showed loved ones she cared by remembering them on holidays and birthdays. She was very artistic and often crafted homemade gifts. She was a floral designer by trade and worked in local flower shops for years. She could often be found outside, gardening. Susie had a love for the outdoors, especially the mountains. She was an avid skier and taught her children and grandchildren. She loved hiking, biking and could often be seen walking her dogs. Anyone who met Susie knew how passionate she was about animals, all creatures great and small, she loved them all. She left behind a legacy of love, compassion, generosity and gentleness for all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Fisher; her children, Casey (Sarah) Fisher, Tracy Fisher and Brittany (Robert) Bedtke; her grandchildren, Trent, Peyton, Eden, Abby and Avalon; her sisters, Donna (Dan) Clark and Joyce Holdread; and many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, to honor her, please make a donation at your local church.
