Fire managers report that both the Snow Springs Fire and the Spring Basin Fire are now fully contained.

Firefighters on the Pagosa Ranger District have been responding to multiple lightning-caused fires in recent days, including Sunday's 1/10th acre Sawmill Fire, which has been contained, and the 1/10th acre Saddle Horn Fire, which is out.
Today, crews are supporting two new lightning-caused fires: the 1 acre Snow Springs Fire on the east side of Devil Mountain, and the Spring Basin Fire located west of FS Road 668 and east of Blue Mountain, currently assessed at 1/10th acre. Support includes a Type 2 and Type 3 helicopter, engines, and hand crews.

According to the San Juan National Forest, fire crews are responding to a newly discovered fire, the Snow Springs Fire, in Archuleta County, west of Piedra Road (County Road 600), on the east side of Devil Mountain.
Resources include an engine, hand crew and type 3 helicopter.
The fire is currently .3 acres, according to the agency.
