The last two hunter education classes in Pagosa Springs are scheduled for the following dates:
• First class — Oct. 15 and 16.
• Second class — Oct. 29 and 30.
Classes are held 5:30-10 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday.
Students must attend both Thursday and Friday classes.
Classes are held at the San Juan Mounted Patrol Building, 302 San Juan St. The cost is $10.
These courses will be open to anyone wishing to obtain a hunter safety card. If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you are required to have a hunter safety card before purchasing a hunting license.
These will be the last classes taught in Pagosa Springs in 2015. Students should register online prior to the class. To register, go to wildlife.state.co.us/hunting and click on “Hunter Education.” Then click on “find a course at a place and time to fit your schedule” at the top of the page and follow the directions.
