Elaine Johnson Nossaman, 88, of Pagosa Springs died April 17, 2015, at her home. She was born April 19, 1926, to Charles B. and Elizabeth King Johnson in Pagosa Springs. She was a beloved school teacher in Arboles, Pagosa Springs, and Dulce, N.M.
Mrs. Nossaman is survived by sisters, Charlotte and Marilyn, daughters Susan and Cindy, one cousin, five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, fourteen great-grandchildren, ten nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Elaine joins an infant son John, her husband Royal, sister Genevieve Phelps, numerous cousins and her parents in Eternity.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015, with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m. at the Archuleta County Extension Building. The family invites attendees to a potluck luncheon following the service. Please bring a covered dish. A graveside service will follow at the family cemetery.
