The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado Board of Directors recently filled two vacancies on its Executive Committee.
Rico Town Administrator Chauncy McCarthy and Cassie Alexander, vice president and senior loan officer for First National Bank of Cortez, were approved at the April 24 meeting.
McCarthy represents the town of Rico on the board, and Alexander is a Montezuma at-large member. They fill the vacancies of Kelly Koskie from the city of Cortez and Todd Weaver from Archuleta County, who have both taken jobs out of the area.
McCarthy and Alexander join five other executive committee members: William Tookey, San Juan County administrator, chair; Mary Jo Coulehan, Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce director, vice chair; Dan Fernandez, Dolores at-large member, secretary; Colleen O’Brien, La Plata at-large member, treasurer; and Clyde Church, La Plata County.
