The music of Sally Neel and Kathy Wadenfphul filled the air as participants in the second recipe contest fundraiser benefiting Friends of Pagosa Multi-Purpose Pavilion enjoyed food, fun and an evening of community spirit at the Quality Resort last Friday evening.
Pagosa Springs Fire Chief Diane Bower announced the winners in the beverage and appetizer categories. Beverage winners were: gold, Delores “Lola” Butler; silver, Matti Warren; bronze, Tari Woods; and “great job,” Eric Kuyper. Appetizer winners were gold, Tari Woods; silver, Eric Kuyper; bronze, Pam Hotchkiss; “great job,” Ramona Tschaar; and “great job,” Tari Woods.
In attendance, as well, were Brian Collabolletta and Jeff Palmer, organizers of the upcoming Inaugural Pagosa Pond Hockey Tournament, which will be held this Saturday and Sunday at Riverside Park. The Pagosa Pond Hockey organization will be hosting the three-on-three elimination hockey tournament with players from around the Four Corners area. Proceeds are being donated to the Pavilion project.
Events will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. both days with awards to follow the event on Sunday at the Riff Raff Brewing Company.
