I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Pagosa Springs Medical Center team for hosting such a wonderful open house on September 22. Rhonda Webb and her team did such an amazing job!
That’s no small statement coming from someone like me. Friends and family know that I tend to avoid doctors’ offices and medical centers unless absolutely necessary—and that even the sight of a needle is enough to make me lightheaded. Yet this event was different. Strolling through the hospital’s halls, greeted by smiling staff members and invited into open departments, offered a warm, non-threatening introduction to the wide range of services available right here in Pagosa Springs.
I was genuinely amazed by both the variety of departments and the depth of care available locally, but even more by the kindness and welcome extended by everyone involved. This experience has already eased my apprehension and will make it much easier for me to seek care when the time comes.
My sincere appreciation goes out to all who made this event possible.
