The Pagosa Lakes Kids Fishing Derby will be held this Saturday, June 7, at Lake Forest.
This free event is for kids 16 and under. There will be prizes for the kids, including fishing-related tackle and gear.
Fishing begins at 9 a.m. near the boat ramp open space area at the north end of the lake and will run until 11:30 a.m., when we will start grilling some hot dogs and award prizes.
The lake will be stocked later this week with some nice-sized rainbow trout, which should make for some great fishing.
