Special to The PREVIEW
On Sunday, Jan. 29, the Pagosa Pregnancy Support Center will commemorate National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) to raise awareness about the special nature of human life and to remind the community about the healing programs offered through the center.
Please stop by the center anytime from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, tour the building, learn about programs and hear about possible ways to become involved. The center is located at 602 South 8th St.
Since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, there have been more than 55 million abortions conducted in the United States. National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday was declared a special day in 1983 by President Ronald Reagan to focus on the sanctity of human life and the fundamental right to life.
The center offers resources if you are facing an unexpected pregnancy or need pregnancy or parenting support, and has confidential abortion recovery and pregnancy loss resources available, as well.
