Sarah Ann Yoder Henry was born June 25, 1982, in Houston, Texas, and passed away Sept. 29, 2013, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Sarah was raised in Pagosa Springs, Colo., and graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 2000. She moved to Phoenix following high school graduation and received her cosmetology license. She then earned an associate’s degree from Scottsdale Community College and was attending Arizona State University, studying to become a speech and hearing pathologist.
Sarah is survived by her mother and stepfather, Suze and Michael Hall, of Pagosa Springs; by her father, William Yoder Jr., of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; by brothers Jonathan Smith of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Jason Smith of Pagosa Springs; by her grandparents Joan Peterson of Pagosa Springs, Don and Diane Means of DuBois, Penn., Annie Yoder of Madison, Ala., and William Yoder Sr. of Knoxville, Tenn.; and by a host of other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Restoration Fellowship, 264 Village Drive, in Pagosa Springs. Pastor Al DeBoer will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any Deaf Foundation.
