Elizabeth Lynn (Beth) Denoyer, granddaughter of Eloise and Lynn George of Pagosa Springs, passed away Nov. 30, 2013. She was born Dec. 25, 1969, to parents Howard C. Jones and Patricia L. Jones. Beth had a history of severe asthma, and she had some cardiac issues the last few years. She was 43 years old when she died of pneumonia.

She is survived by her siblings Doug Jones, Bruce Jones, Pam Arellano, Valerie Candelaria, and her stepmother Nell Jones. Beth grew up in Farmington, N.M., where she went to high school. Beth made many friends over the years. She was athletic in her younger years, studying gymnastics and later becoming a seasoned equestrian in English style riding, classical dressage and jumping. In competitions across New Mexico, she won a number of first-, second- and third-place ribbons in spite of her asthma. She studied journalism at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colo., and later ran two radio stations in Farmington and two radio stations in Durango, Colo., simultaneously.

She married Alex Denoyer of Salida, Colo., in 2005. She gave up the radio business and moved with Alex to a ranch 20 miles south of Pueblo, Colo. Beth was often alone on the ranch, because Alex traveled all over the world building large bridges and dams. For a while in 2012 and 2013, Beth worked at a radio station in Pueblo. Beth and Alex divorced on Nov. 15, 2013. Beth passed away Nov. 30, 2013, due to respiratory complications and will now rest near her mother and grandparents in Pagosa Springs, as she always wanted.

May her soul rest in peace.

Memorial services will be held Dec. 21, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 801 Municipal Drive, in Farmington, N.M. A graveside service will be held the same day at 3 p.m. in Pagosa Springs, at the Hilltop Cemetery.
