The Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to refrain from flying drones throughout Archuleta County, including the Pagosa Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest, due to increased aircraft operations in the area.
Helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft will be conducting search and rescue missions and damage assessments. Drone flights in these areas can create serious safety hazards and interfere with critical aviation operations.
Please help us keep our crews and the public safe by avoiding all drone flights in these areas until further notice.
