Myrel was born to George Washington Arnold and Hettie Jeffcote in rural Littlefield, Texas.
He moved to Pagosa Springs in 1989 from southern California. He spent most of life as a journeyman plumber and built R.O. systems for Culligan Water. (Hey, Culligan man!)
He was a proud WWII vet and upon passing donated 50 percent of his estate to the Veterans Memorial Park of Archuleta County.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Wanna, Glen and Laoma; and his son, Michael J. Arnold.
He is survived in death by his daughter, Dena Sudden; son-in-law Mark; grandson Ryan, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren M’Kai Arnold, Jean Lindberg, Breanna Kirsop, of Pagosa Springs; daughter-in-law M’Liss Arnold, of Pagosa Springs; daughter Joanne Banks; son-in-law Ben; grandsons Neil and Robert Smith, of Grover Beach, Calif.; granddaughter Mea La Croix, son-in-law Josh, of Palm Desert, Calif.
He has numerous great-grandchildren.
