She was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Pagosa Springs, to Benjamin and Lucia Archuleta Martinez.
She married Adolph Leo Herrera in 1954, in Chama, N.M. He passed away Dec. 17, 1995.
Josephine loved to play bingo and joke around with people. She liked to dance, listen to Mexican music and sing. She always welcomed everyone into her home. Josephine was a member of the Catholic church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her children, Irene Ramirez, Sam (Penny) Trujillo, Ernie Herrera, Lucy Herrera and Benny (Christine) Herrera, all of Price, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adolph; sons, Richard Ray Herrera and Arthur Daniel Herrera; four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral service was held Friday, March 6, in Price. Vigil service was Thursday evening, March 5. The family received friends Thursday and Friday one hour prior to service.
