A brief showing of snow over the Christmas holiday improved local basin snowpack numbers, but as of Dec. 26, the San Miguel, Dolores, Animas and San Juan River basins are at 63 percent of median — once again putting local basins the lowest out of the eight basins recorded across the state for snowpack levels.
